Here are the key dates and times for Green Falcons’ matches…
It’s all kicking off as Saudi Arabia’s national football team, affectionately known as the Green Falcons, have successfully qualified for the FIFA World Cup 2022, and now we know who the Green Falcons will be up against in the first matches.
We are buzzing with excitement, as Saudi Arabia won matches against Japan and Australia, and equalised with China to make it through to the next stage. Now, the Saudi Arabian football team are in with a chance of winning (or at the very least, showing the world that they can kick it) at the FIFA World Cup 2022.
The FIFA World Cup 2022 takes place in Qatar from November 21 to December 2. The World Cup final draw was announced at a glittering ceremony, which was presented by actor Idris Elba and sports broadcaster Reshmin Chowdhury. During the event, the groups and match schedule were announced.
We’ll be cheering on Saudi Arabia’s football team, as it battles its way through the first round. The Kingdom’s Green Falcons are in Group C, which includes Argentina, Mexico and Poland.
Saudi Arabia’s first match takes place against Argentina on November 22 at 1pm Doha time in Lusail Stadium. The team’s second match takes place against Poland on November 26 at 4pm at Education City Stadium. The third match is against Mexico on November 30 at 10pm at Lusail Stadium.
