Jeddah Season’s Jeddah Jungle zone opens
Enjoy some animal magic in Saudi Arabia’s largest zoo…
Jeddah Season is well underway with an action-packed line-up that covers arts, culture, heritage and entertainment. We are excited as today marks the opening of one of its biggest family-friendly attractions – Jeddah Jungle.
Jeddah Jungle is Saudi Arabia’s largest zoo and aims to bring the animal kingdom to the kingdom. The aviary covers 10,000 square meters, the farm animal enclosure covers 7,000 square meters and there is a dedicated elephant enclosure.

On your visit, you will have the chance to see more than 1,000 species of wild creatures and more than 200 species of rare birds. The African-inspired zoo even gives you the opportunity to ride in a safari unimog or a private jeep, and on the ride you may – fingers crossed – spot seven different kinds of wild cats and other animals.
If you want to venture out on your own, follow the jungle trek, which takes you through winding paths where you can admire nature as well as animals.
It’s not just about the amazing animals, as Jeddah Jungle is hosting a range of family-friendly activities including creative workshops and daily theatre shows.
Plus, there are opportunities for thrill seekers to sign themselves up for exciting activities. The excursions include painting balling, archery and karting.
If you’re not afraid of heights, put aside your fears and go bungee jumping, zip lining or on the slide. The slide is positioned at the highest point in Jeddah Jungle, and promises spectacular views as you whizz down.
And, when you’ve had enough of the outdoors, pop into the Taxidermy Museum, which has more than 200 mummified animals. Your animal adventure awaits.
