Jeddah Season 2022 reveals its exciting line-up
There’ll be 2,800 events, from pop-up restaurants to K-pop stars…
We are buzzing with excitement as Jeddah Season 2022 has announced its action-packed line-up, which is filled with events covering arts, culture, heritage and entertainment. Taking place from the start of May until the end of June, this is the second edition of the festival, which boasts a whopping 2,800 events.
Jeddah Season is part of the country-wide Saudi Seasons festival initiative, which includes Riyadh Season from November and Sharqiyah Season in March. The season launched in 2019, but it was cancelled for two years in a row due to Covid-19.
We are big fans of Jeddah Season’s tagline, “Our Lovely Days”, as it will promote cultural diversity and global openness.
The number of events are mind-boggling, but we’re here to help break it down. There are 140 restaurants and café, 70 immersive experiences, 60 entertainment rides, nine entertainment zones, one international circus, four international exhibitions, five beach activities and two international plays.

If you’re a fan Arabic stars, you’ll be pleased to hear that there are 20 Arabic concerts and seven Arabic plays. There will also be four international concerts, including popular K-Pop stars. Since the inaugural festival included The Backstreet Boys, we can’t wait to see who else will be announced.
The city-wide festival spans the whole of Jeddah with nine zones: Jeddah’s Superdome, Al-Jawhara Stadium, Jeddah Jungle, Jeddah Art Promenade, Jeddah Pier, Prince Majid Park, City Walk and Al-Balad and Jeddah Yacht Club.
Jeddah Jungle will host the country’s biggest zoo, and Jeddah Yacht Club will open during the festival and host exhibitions and bazaars.
Cirque du Soleil is swinging into town with its specially created show Fuzion for the Jeddah Season, and it will run for one month during the festival. While there are big-ticket shows, lookout for more niche ones from a comic-con anime event to a science festival.
Plus, there are 60 firework shows – that’s one every night – on Jeddah’s promenade. It all sounds like a blast to us.
