7 top things to do in Riyadh this weekend: June 23 to 25

Welcome to the weekend…

If you’re looking for ways to spend the weekend in Riyadh, you’re in the right place. From brunch deals to an art exhibition and musical performance, here are seven top things to do in Riyadh this weekend.

Thursday June 23

1. Check out the art exhibition at Misk

It is time to open your eyes and reflect on the earth beneath your feet, the places you consider home, and the memories you hold dear. In “Re-appearing Imaginaries”, 11 artists from various backgrounds and through different mediums question what it means to slow down. They challenge our understanding of home, emphasising the risk of losing valuable information – forcing us to come to terms with the fact we are nearing a finite expiry date.

Re-appearing Imaginaries Exhibition, until Aug 15, Sat to Thurs 4pm to 10pm, Prince Faisal bin Fahd Arts Hall. Miskartinstitute.org

2. Ride to the beat and feel the burn

Singer, songwriter and “Jordanian sweetheart” Hana Malhas will be performing live on stage. For the unfamiliar, Hana’s songs are lyrically driven electro-acoustic tracks in Arabic and English, with an indie-alternative vibe. Her latest single, ‘Mazar’, is a feel-good song that eventually transitions into a wall of stomps, claps, moving choirs and an explosive anthemic rock chorus highlighting the singer’s infectious vocals.
