The second in the Minions films series, which together form a prequel to the Despicable Me franchise, documents the first time the yellow creatures meet Gru, the pre-teen who will become their master. At the mischievous age of 11, he’s already sporting the hunchback and hook nose and dreaming of world domination. He suddenly finds himself centred as a hero, squaring off against a villain stable called the ‘Vicious 6’. All the same, it will keep kids (and adults) tolerably amused.
