SOL is a new beach music festival taking place in Jeddah this weekend

What is summer without a good beach festival? There’s nothing better than listening to DJs playing high-energy sets while you’re surrounded by picture-perfect seafront scenery.
SOL, a three-day festival celebrating music, fashion and art, will take over Jeddah’s little slice of paradise: the Buhairat Beach.

From July 21 to 23, the area will be filled with live music from a mix of genres, including hip-hop and EDM, a fashion bazaar, as well as art installations and craft vendors from local artisans, with lots more treats to enjoy.
Need a break from the bumping beats? There will be plenty of food options at the pop-up street food market so you can refuel and go see the next show. Or hang out at the chillest spot in the festival, where you can rest and recharge on the outdoor benches.
A fun, music-filled weekend
SOL is described as “an exclusive community that aims to bring together and shine a light on local artists, creatives, and talents”.
With a stage built right on the beach, festival-goers can expect an incredible line-up of DJs for a weekend filled with beachside dance parties. Plus, each day offers something slightly different for nearly everyone.
July 21:
The first day of the festival is all about hip hop, R&B and alternative soul. Local headliners include DJs Nileboi, Zii, Kali-b, Ntitled from Riyadh, Pre Kai Ro, Jeed, Shiloh Meets World, Al Young & Randar, Shaolin, Saud, and newcomer Aziz. Also worth catching is DJ Austin Millz, hailing all the way from New York City and performing in Saudi Arabia for the very first time.
July 22:
EDM fans, the second day will bring tunes from melodic house and deep house to techno. Acts on the line-up include DJs Dul, M. Box, Jeme, Things You Say, ETH from Italy, Enzo GD, and Nic Fanciulli.
July 23:
The festival will close with fusion music sets by DJs Solskin, Chiati, Nic, Ali Farahani, Benjemy, Alsharif Mahlab, and Jeddah’s very own up-and-coming superstar Mishaal.
