Mark your calendars, folks, because Riyadh Season is back – bigger and better.
Starting on Friday October 21, this year’s edition comes with a slogan, “Beyond Imagination”, to coincide with the significant expansion of activities compared to the previous seasons. The announcement was made by GEA Chairman Turki Al-Sheikh in a promotional video, who shared that the 2022 event will feature new zones and events, including some surprises.

The season will also include Cirque du Soleil international shows and fireworks displays. In addition, sports fans can look forward to events such as WWE and the Riyadh Season Cup, which brings together Paris Saint-Germain football players and the national stars of the two Saudi teams, Al-Hilal and Al-Nasr.
What’s more, the Riyadh Season 2022 will include 15 zones, bringing exciting experiences and events from around the world. Here’s what you can expect from each zone this year.
Al Murabba returns this year, so expect some of the best restaurants and cafés at this luxury fine-dining destination.
BLVD Riyadh City
One of the season’s largest and most popular destinations, BLVD Riyadh City is ready to welcome guests daily with its gamut of entertainment and activities.
Not to be confused with the above zone, BLVD World is a premier entertainment zone suitable for everyone who loves travelling, exploring, and playing. This new zone will highlight the cultures of the different countries, and you’ll also get to board boats and submarines for the first time in Riyadh’s biggest artificial lake in the world.
World Cup fans, this is for you. The Fan Festival will feature three mega screens to mimic the full atmosphere of the World Cup. In addition, you can expect live concerts and shows throughout the day, along with e-sport tournaments.
This new zone in the Diplomatic Quarter will offer an exclusive experience, including the best food and beverage offerings and seasonal activities.
This zone takes you back to the old days of the 80s and 90s. Expect traditional games, live shows and authentic snacks – definitely a place that will take the locals back to their happy memories.
This year, Riyadh Front will feature a variety of exhibitions, each with a different theme. Visitors can expect exhibits ranging from gaming and technology to fashion.
Riyadh Imagination Park
An entertainment destination for the youth, this new zone will bring fun and excitement, featuring live shows, a host of restaurants, a rare car display, and games inspired by top movies.
Now with a new look, the Riyadh Zoo will be sure to amaze you and the whole family. Think 1,300 animals from 190 species in six areas. Just don’t miss the house of the bongo monkey.
This new zone will offer breathtaking views of the Riyadh skyline, along with international dining destinations.
The oldest heritage market in Riyadh is back in a new form this season. Here, you can discover and enjoy musical performances and traditional folk dances.
This is where you’ll immerse in a different culture every week, complete with entertainment and live musical shows.
Who can forget the charming ambience at The Groves? This zone at the Diplomatic Quarter will continue to showcase live entertainment shows and international cuisine combined with the majestic Saudi cultural heritage, plus an area dedicated to World Cup fans.
A Salmani-style designed zone (in harmony with the capital’s local culture), Via Riyadh will be home to the luxurious The St. Regis Riyadh hotel, as well as seven plush cinemas, restaurants and cafés, and international boutiques.
A family favourite, this zone is a wonderful adventure into the wintery magical world, offering more than 80 thrilling rides suitable for all ages.
