When news of French football club Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) playing a friendly against the Al-Nassr and Al-Hilal teams in Riyadh on Thursday January 19 is announced, tickets for the match completely sell out within a few hours after being offered for sale.

But good news for those who are still trying your luck to catch the football action live at King Fahd International Stadium – a special ‘Beyond Imagination’ ticket for the match has been put up at auction.
And the not-so-good news? This ticket may be the most expensive one in the history of football after the rate reaches SAR2 million, hours after the launch of the auction by His Excellency Turki Al-Sheikh, head of the Saudi General Entertainment Authority (GEA).
Why is this football event a big deal?
The historic match, as part of the Riyadh Season Cup, will witness the first confrontation between world superstars Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Kylian Mbappe after Ronaldo’s transfer to the Saudi club Al-Nassr.
The players of Al-Nassr and Al-Hilal – the two biggest football clubs in the region – will turn from traditional rivals into a unified team under the leadership of an international coach and assistant.
Also, expect entertaining activities, light shows and fireworks at the stadium, as part of the Riyadh Season festivities.
Of course, watching Messi, Mbappe, Neymar and Ronaldo together on the pitch is a privilege in itself. However, GEA is going a step further to make it a memorable night for deep-pocketed fans.
