The free Desert Truffle Festival is back in Riyadh this March

The festival is back for round two…

Come one, come all, the second Desert Truffle Festival is headed to Riyadh this March.

Also known as the AlFaqaa Festival, the Desert Truffle Festival will be held from Thursday March 2 until Monday March 6.

Irqah Hospital will be the backdrop for the foodie-focused event hosted by the Ministry of Culture’s Culinary Arts Commission. Tickets for the festival have been released and are free, so don’t forget to snap yours up right away here.

Desert truffles are some of the most expensive ingredients found in fine-dining restaurants. During the four-day festival, you can discover all about the delicacy.

The festival is set to have multiple festival zones for you and the gang to enjoy. You can check out the restaurant zone, take part in interactive workshops, and enjoy live music shows.

Hungry for more? We know we are. There will also be an artistic bidders zone to check out, an art gallery, a children’s zone for the kiddos, and an auction zone too.

The festival focuses on bringing back the historical value of truffles in Saudi cuisine. It also aims to create platforms to enable local chefs to develop their skills.

The first edition of the festival was held back in March of 2022. It was a hit with the locals with over 20,000 people attending. The event saw local truffle hunters and sellers hosting workshops on the best truffle practices.

Additionally, the event also had live cooking stations and an exhibition on how and where to find the luxury cooking ingredient in the earlier edition.

Come hungry.
