If there’s one flavour that will never truly go out of style, then it’s got to be matcha. SoMatcha is a cute little business nestled away in a nook of Shorofat complex that specialises in – yes, you guessed it – matcha beverages. Whether you prefer hot or cold, the drinks here have a velvety mouthfeel and retain the astringency that most people seek in matcha lattes. Another plus is that SoMatcha is a work-friendly space – perfect for anyone looking to find their focus or finish that book you’ve been procrastinating.

SoMatcha, Shorofat Park, An Nada, Riyadh 13317, Sat to Wed 6am to midnight, Thurs 6am to 2am & Fri 1pm to 2am. @somatcha.me

The bells of Notre Dame are chiming in the heart of Riyadh

Riyadh Season presents The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Based on the Victor Hugo novel and songs from the Disney animated feature, this Arabic version of The Hunchback of Notre Dame will showcase a sweeping score and powerful story. The musical begins as the bells of Notre Dame sound through the famed cathedral in fifteenth-century Paris. Quasimodo, the deformed bellringer who longs to be “Out There”, observes all of Paris revelling in the Feast of Fools. Held captive by his devious caretaker, the archdeacon Frollo, he escapes for the day and joins the boisterous crowd, only to be oppressed by all but the beautiful Romani woman, Esmeralda. Quasimodo isn’t the only one captivated by her free spirit, though – the handsome Captain Phoebus and Frollo are equally enthralled. As the three vie for her attention, Frollo embarks on a mission to destroy the Roma – and it’s up to Quasimodo to save them all. Audiences are guaranteed to be swept away by the magic of this truly unforgettable musical.

The Hunchback of Notre Dame Musical, Mar 8 to 10, 9pm to 12.30am, Bakr Al Sheddy Theater, Boulevard Studios in Boulevard Riyadh City. Book your tickets here. The ticket prices start from SAR75. @riyadhseason
