Bookings are now open for Nujuma, The Red Sea Ritz-Carlton Reserve

It’s opening later this year…

If you’re dreaming of an ultra-luxury getaway close to home in the Kingdom, the upcoming ultra-luxury Nujuma, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve should be high on your bucket list – and room reservations are now open.

Set on a paradisiacal strip of sand in the crystalline Red Sea waters, Nujuma is the second of two resorts opening on Ummahat Island. Bookings are now open for the reserve for stays starting from May 26, 2024. Villa rates start from SAR9,250 per night.

The resort joins an ultra-exclusive collection of just five other Ritz-Carlton Reserves around the world, and will be home to 63 one- to four-bedroom overwater and beach villas. Swoon.

This super-luxury private sanctuary promises to deliver transformative and immersive guest experiences, blending “seclusion and sophistication to provide a highly personalised luxury escape” a statement from Marriott’s chief development officer Jerome Briet promises.

Five-star amenities will range from a lavish spa and swimming pools to an array of restaurants. Edu-tainment will be high on the agenda, and as such, a Conservation Center will offer insight into the protection of the local landscape.

Ritz-Carlton Reserve’s are all in handpicked, far-flung locations around the globe, weaving together human connection with the unique elements of the local culture, heritage and environment. Existing Ritz-Carlton Reserve’s are found in Thailand, Japan, Indonesia, Puerto Rico, and Mexico.

The Red Sea hotels to look forward to

The Ritz-Carlton Reserve will be the third hotel to open at Saudi Arabia’s sensational new Red Sea project, joining St Regis Red Sea Resort, which opened earlier this year; and Six Senses Southern Dunes, which debuted on an in-land desert site at the end of last year.

Later this year, a further two resorts will open at the destination. From summer 2024, guests will be able to check-in to Shebara, the first RSG-owned and operated resort at The Red Sea destination. With its futuristic villas reflecting off the ocean and surrounding crystalline waters, this is set to be a sought-after destination for marine life enthusiasts, with a 30-40 mtre reef drop off close to the shore.

At the end of the year, one of the most jaw-dropping resorts, Desert Rock, will also open for visitors. Nestled in a secluded valley, this 60 key ultra-luxury escape will feature a collection of rooms built within the rocks.
