Two neighborhoods in Riyadh to be named after King Salman

Under the direction of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the city’s Al Wahah and Salahiddine neighbourhoods are being renamed and further developed as “King Salman Neighbourhood.”

According to the Saudi Press Agency, SPA, The move aims to increase the quality of basic services and entertainment activities. The King Salman Neighbourhood is in the centre of Riyadh and covers an area of six square kilometres and is next to the incredibly exciting King Salman Park.

It is a major component of Saudi Vision 2030 which aims to make Riyadh one of the top 10 cities in the world. King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has served as the governor of the Riyadh region for over five decades and the neighbourhoods aim to highlight his efforts.

The development will be using Salmani architecture for the public facilities will be giving the area a special identity. Talk about revamping.

The area is also set to be one of the most important developmental and environmental projects the Riyadh Municipality is working on in the city.
