The foodie scene in Riyadh is definitely booming, with tonnes of new openings coming in every month including but not limited to renowned international venues, local gems, and cool coffee shops too. And the Via Riyadh openings are responsible for a majority of those foodies spots coming to town.
Here are all of the other openings you can look forward to this month.
Gymkhana
The Michelin-starred restaurant is set to travel outside London for the first time as Gymkhana opens its doors at Via Riyadh on June 18. Guests at Gymkhana Saudi can expect the same level of flavour and experience as those in Mayfair. The carefully curated menu brings to life flavours from across India, offering a modern interpretation of renowned classics.

Joan’s On Third
LA’s hottest speciality food market, Joan’s on Third, is the ideal spot for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Marking the brand’s first international move, the Riyadh outlet will reflect the LA outpost’s most distinctive features, including the neighbourhood-friendly atmosphere with communal tables and casual, charming decor.

Wagyumafia
Wagyumafia is the brainchild of self-taught chef-turned-wagyu expert Hisato Hamada and entrepreneur Takafumi Horie. Paying homage to the famous Japanese Wagyu beef, the Riyadh spot is set to be a 14-seater culinary members club, serving up an Omakase menu using renowned butchery techniques.

Yakinikumafia
Yakinikumafia is built on the Japanese concept of Yakiniku which translates to grilled meat cuisine. The venue is an authentic Japanese barbecue concept that pairs fire-grilled meats with an industrial, youthful ambience. The venue was designed by Wagyumafia. The appeal comes from the venue being one of the rare Japanese grill restaurants that explicitly serve wagyu. The restaurant will open for dinner only on weekdays, and lunch and dinner on weekends.
