High-end fitness giant Equinox is bringing its wellness resort experience to Amaala
It is the first hotel brand to be announced as part of the exclusive Amaala Marina Village…
Equinox, a leader in the “fitness as lifestyle” movement, is the latest hotel brand to be heading to Red Sea Global’s Amaala. Equinox Resort Amaala will form part of the exclusive Amaala Marina Village, which is within the wider Triple Bay development.
A focus on sports, fitness and lifestyle
The 128-key property will boast two luxury penthouses, as well as a suite of amenities such as several world-class culinary concepts, a magnesium salt rooftop pool, spa, Beach Club, and a signature Equinox Fitness Club, offering a full immersion into all things wholesome and holistic.
The hotel’s interior design, by renowned architecture firm Foster + Partners, has been curated to ensure complete connectivity to the surrounding area. A distinctive feature of Equinox Resort Amaala will be the hotel’s Porte Cochere and its floating canopy, where guests can expect a dramatic entrance as they arrive by boat or car.
The hotel will have four open courtyards, which take inspiration from traditional architectural styles. The shaded courtyards, complete with stunning landscape and water features, will naturally cool the air, allowing guests to enjoy the resort even during the warmest days.
Guest rooms are positioned to capture either the panoramic views of the Hijaz Cove or the marina with its super yachts and the buzzing promenade.
“Amaala brings the best in health and wellness together in an area of extraordinary natural beauty to offer exceptional and transformative experiences for guests. Equinox’s unique brand of luxury and fitness is a fantastic fit, allowing visitors to choose seeking self-improvement during their stay, getting back to nature on land or at sea, or simply enjoying quiet moments with loved ones in comfort and privacy,” said John Pagano, Group CEO of Red Sea Global.
Equinox Hotels CEO, Christopher Norton, said, “Amaala is a destination that perfectly aligns with our mission of redefining luxury hospitality. Our highly differentiated resort offering will provide guests an unparalleled experience that only a brand like Equinox can deliver.”
Opening date
The first phase of the development is slated for completion by 2024 – not long to go now – and will consist of more than 1,200 hotel rooms across eight different resorts. The complete integrated wellness destination is slated for completion by 2027.
Wellness travel may never be the same, and we’re all for it…
