AlUla’s home of events, AlUla Moments 2023-2024, has just unveiled the line-up for its new season, and this time around we can look forward to multiple festivals and events until the end of 2023 and until the beginning of 2024, including the welcome return of the highly-anticipated Winter at Tantora festival.
With major ragers like Azimuth making a comeback and more relaxing events like the AlUla Wellness Festival also happening, there’s bound to be something right up your alley somewhere along the season. Read on to find out more.

Major music festival Azimuth returns this September in the dreamy AlUla desert. Taking place on Thursday September 21 and Friday September 22 over the Saudi National Day long weekend, Azimuth amplified by MDLBeast will transform the stunning and historical AlUla into an exceptional gathering of art, sound and music during an unmissable weekend extravaganza.

AlUla Wellness Festival
Happening from Thursday October 19 until Saturday November 4, the festival is all about how wellness begins from within by energising your mind, body, and soul. Returning for its third edition, the festival will focus on the healing power of silence, art and nature. You can look forward to world-class industry experts and wellness practitioners dedicated to providing you with restorative and holistic experiences.

Ancient Kingdoms Festival
The first-of-its-kind Ancient Kingdoms Festival returns to the country this December. Happening from November 17 to December 3, AlUla brings the past into the present with experiences inspired by the significance of 7,000 years of successive civilizations on the Arabian Peninsula and the famed incense road trading route that cemented AlUla as the bustling commercial and cultural crossroad.

Winter at Tantora
AlUla will see the return of Winter at Tantora, from Thursday December 21 to Saturday January 27 2024. AlUla’s longest-running festival features the best of fine arts, music, fashion, and food. Last year’s festival saw the region’s first-ever food festival and so much more.

Richard Mille AlUla Desert Polo
Set against the magnificently dramatic backdrop of the AlUla canyons and the extraordinary landscapes of the Equestrian Village, near Saudi Arabia’s first Unesco World Heritage Site of Hegra, the tournament – widely regarded as the Sport of Kings – is played out in a purpose-built desert arena. The massive event returns in January 2024.

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Endurance Cup
Returning for its fifth edition on February 2024, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Endurance Cup will welcome riders to navigate 120 kilometres of AlUla’s unique and rugged desert terrain with the finest horses from around the world. Equestrian enthusiasts and interested spectators will have an opportunity to experience an exciting day out, with entertainment and food and beverage on offer while connecting AlUla’s ancient Arabian horse heritage culture.

AlUla Arts Festival
AlUla Arts Festival is set to be a must-visit event on the global arts calendar. From Thursday February 8 to Saturday March 2, the festival will offer everything from curated contemporary art to gigantic outdoor art installations, craft workshops to artists’ residencies.

AlUla Skies Festival
200 colourful balloons will fly high over the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Hegra from Wednesday April 10 to Saturday April 20. The beloved once-in-a-lifetime experience is one you need to book in advance for. Alongside the balloons, there will be a number of events to celebrate the vast open space of the desert and the night sky lit up by the gorgeous stars above.

AlUla Camel Cup
Have you ever witnessed a camel race? Well now’s your chance. Organised by the Saudi Camel Racing Federation (SCRF), the event will be happening in April 2024. The first-ever edition happened in March 2023, and crowned the ‘Champion of Champions’ at a complete prize pool of SAR80 million. Talk about big bucks.

AlUla Desert Blaze
You’ve heard of sports challenges and races being brutal, but surely not like this. The second AlUla Desert Blaze will be happening in June 2024 and is set to be where regional and global athletes will be taking part in the newest, hottest and most intense endurance race.
