There'll be a cool new MDLBEAST XP Music Futures DJ competition

If you’re even remotely interested in music, you need to have this on your radar. A MDLBEAST XP Music Futures DJ competition is happening. The competition, called Storm Shaker is an electrifying DJ competition designed to unearth the region’s most exceptional talent.
Submissions are open right now and close on Thursday August 24. The competition invites DJs from across the MENA region to showcase their mixes and gives them a chance to display their signature sound in front of a panel of judges, including industry veterans, top DJs, and producers.

The local music scene is constantly growing and there is so much talent in the region right now, and Storm Shaker is the perfect way to find the freshest DJs. The winner of the competition will get the incredible chance to perform in front of a high-energy crowd at MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2023 alongside the biggest names in history.
The MDLBEAST XP Music Futures DJ competition will be supported by Berklee Abu Dhabi and DJ Corner & Pangaia who will also be adding on prizes for the winner.
Last year’s winner, Joj, says: “Give your dreams all you’ve got, it’s not enough to be talented, you need to hustle to be the winner. It was a pleasurable experience to sway people to my sound, to many more dancefloors to come.”
You can submit your entry for the third edition of Storm Shaker here. The final four DJs standing will get to compete at the major XP Music Futures happening from December 7 until December 9 in front of a panel of industry gurus and a live audience.
The MDLBEAST XP Music Futures experience is divided into Day and Nite programmes. During the day from 11am to 7pm, you can immerse yourself in panel discussions, demo sessions, fishbowls, networking forums, and competitions.
