Red Sea Global to welcome world famous Bear Grylls Survival Academy
The popular adventure and survival brand is coming to the Kingdom…
Red Sea Global, the major multi-property developer behind megaprojects like The Red Sea and AMAALA is known to be bringing a lot of firsts to the country, and it’s just signed on being the exclusive agent for Bear Grylls Survival Academy in Saudi Arabia.
What that means is outdoor enthusiasts will be getting training in key team building, wilderness education and survival skills on a variety of course options all of which have been designed by British adventurer and television presenter Bear Grylls himself.
Red Sea Global aims to recruit and train local outdoor enthusiasts in the art of survival and expedition leadership, thereby creating hundreds of jobs for Saudis in a new industry for the Kingdom. Once trained, locals could work in Bear Grylls Survival Academies around the Kingdom.
John Pagano, Group CEO of Red Sea Global, says, “We believe that everyone should have the chance to follow their sense of adventure and will work with the Bear Grylls Survival Academy team to develop outdoor experiences for all, whether adults or young people, irrespective of physical and cognitive ability.”
The Bear Grylls Survival Academy was first launched in the UK way back in 2012 with the extreme five-day “Survival in the Highlands” Course in Scotland. So, if you’ve always wanted to try unconventional activities and courses, now’s your chance.
The massive Red Sea project is well on its way to welcoming its first guests this year when the first phase of the international airport and the first hotels open their doors to travellers, beginning with Six Senses Southern Dunes, The Red Sea which announced plans to open this October. AMAALA will be opened to visitors not too long after The Red Sea and is completely on track to welcome its first guests in early 2025.
