Saudi Arabia's first W Hotel is coming to Trojena

Marriott International will bring a W Hotel and a JW Marriott to the mountain resort…

The show-stopping Trojena development at NEOM is getting a double serving of luxurious Marriott excellence, as the brand is set to bring W Hotels and JW Marriott Marquis to the mountain retreat.

Marriott International’s duo of new hotels in Saudi Arabia will see the first W Hotel open in the Kingdom, as well as another JW Marriott property. Both will form part of the exciting hospitality landscape at this industry-redefining project, where already confirmed hotels currently include an Anantara, 25Hours and a Chedi property.

W Hotel Trojena

The Kingdom’s first ever W hotel will offer sweeping views of the snow-capped mountains and freshwater lake. Across 237 guest rooms, there will be 47 suites, all unrolling within the development’s Lake Village. On property, guests can look forward to four restaurants, plus W Hotels brand signatures like WET Deck, W Lounge and the vibrant AWAY Spa. Elsewhere at Lake Village, which flanks a 2.8km-long architectural lake, there will be a further array of shops, restaurants, markets and entertaining activities to ensure guests can enjoy an all-encompassing, adventure-packed stay.

JW Marriott Hotel Trojena

The second Marriott property coming to Trojena will see the opening of one of the group’s flagship brands, a JW Marriott. Promising to be a haven for luxury travellers, this immersive getaway will be located in The Bow, described as ‘a futuristic water world that will combine nature and technology.’ This property will be somewhat larger than the W Hotel Trojena, with 500 sophisticated rooms and suites, and extensive places to meet and mingle, including five restaurants, a fitness club, kids’ club, swimming pools and a spa.

About Trojena

Trojena AWG2029

Construction on Trojena commenced in December 2022 and the destination is slated to welcome its first guests in 2026. As a mountain tourism pioneer, it plans to add 30km of ski slopes that range from entry level to the toughest runs. Elsewhere, Trojena will feature an outdoor ski village, family-friendly wellness resorts, a nature reserve, and watersports, making it a year-round destination for adventure. Although it’s still a few years away from opening, Trojena has already been confirmed as the host of the 2029 Asian Winter Games.
