Cheers to the weekend…

Looking for activities to do with your friends and family? Gear up and grab your crew for a day of fun adventure and activities in Riyadh.

Here are eight beautiful things to do this weekend.

Thursday September 7

Check out Riyadh’s public library coin collection

library

Historical coins from around the Arab and Islamic world are prominent artefacts that can reveal the religious, political, economic, social, and artistic events that occurred in the era they originated. There are more than 8,100 historical coins made of gold, silver and other metals that are available to view in the King Abdulaziz Public Library in Riyadh. Some rare and unique coins in the collection include the first Arab Islamic dinar to be minted, given that the coins used in the early Islamic era were minted in non-Islamic countries.

King Abdulaziz Public Library, 4170 Makkah Al Mukarramah Rd, King Abdullah Dt, Riyadh 12421, Sat to Thurs 8am to 8pm.

In celebration of National Wiener Schnitzel Day on September 9, Sisi’s Eatery is giving a 50 per cent discount on all its traditional Austrian dishes. Grab your family and friends, head down to Al Nakheel Mall, and enjoy a crispy, golden schnitty. We highly recommend the veal schnitzel – it is thin and light and won’t make you want to crawl up on a sofa somewhere and sleep directly after eating one.
