September 2: Shake it off at Taylor Swift Night

Love yourself some T-Swift? Check out Taylor’s Night, a karaoke night dedicated to celebrating the American pop star across Saudi Arabia. On September 2, Taylor’s Night will be held at The Warehouse at JAX District in Riyadh. Come dress up in your favourite era, prepare the songs you want to sing and make friendship bracelets so you can exchange them with fellow Swifties.

September 7: Flamingo Room by tashas brings African glamour to Riyadh

Bujairi Terrace is set to welcome the first Flamingo Room by tashas in Riyadh. Opening Thursday September 7, Flamingo Room by tashas is the ultimate hotspot to experience African glamour offering a chic yet relaxed dining experience – from afternoon tea to dinners. The contemporary menu will showcase mostly fresh seafood prepared in a classical yet decadent expression and infused with the most interesting flavours of the season.

September 8: Dive into the world of electronic music with White & White

White & White

It’s no secret that underground music events always go wild out in Riyadh. Here’s introducing White & White, a brand-new techno, house, afro, hip-hop and electro gig coming to the capital. Performing artists include DJs Immortal, Leigh Ross, Scoob, Dr K, and Nile Boi. Look forward to fancy decorations and blacklight designs for a unique experience. Also, be sure to come dressed in white to fully immerse yourself in the visual effects.

September 8: Animal Crossing X Avantgarde music festival is coming to Jeddah

UK’s Animal Crossing music festival is making its debut in Saudi Arabia. In collaboration with Avantgarde, it will be a show like no other as they take to the desert on the outskirts of Jeddah at Dhai Wild Resort. The venue will also be complete with foodie offerings and fashion boutiques. The music festival will be headlined by Dana Ruh, and Animal Crossing’s resident DJs Joey Jackson, DJ and Producer Bowes, and R.O.Y will also be taking the stage. Avantgarde’s very own Saoud Music and Musab will also be performing.

September 15: The St. Regis Riyadh opens

Slated to open in the coming weeks, The St. Regis Riyadh will be the only hotel at the stylish new Via Riyadh development. It will have 83 guestrooms, including 23 suites, two signature restaurants, an outdoor pool, a fitness centre, and a spa. The hotel will also feature its signature hallmarks and traditions, including its bespoke butler service and avant-garde style. On its doorstep are an array of high-fashion boutiques and upscale restaurants, as well as a luxurious Vox Cinema.

September 21 & 22: Azimuth Festival returns to AlUla

Major music festival Azimuth returns this September in the dreamy AlUla desert. Taking place on Thursday September 21 and Friday September 22 over the Saudi National Day long weekend, Azimuth amplified by MDLBeast will transform the stunning and historical AlUla into an exceptional gathering of art, sound and music during an unmissable weekend extravaganza. September 23: Happy National Day, Saudi Arabia

Saudi National Day is an annual celebration to mark the unification of Najd and Hijaz, and September 23 marks the date on which the merged nations became the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This year, Saudi National Day will be celebrated on Saturday (September 23), but it’s expected that we will be getting a public holiday either on Thursday September 21 or on Sunday September 24, which would mean a long weekend for everyone. Nonetheless, get ready to celebrate Saudi National Day and look forward to a weekend of festivities and fireworks.

September 28: Enjoy live performances at Hayy Jameel

Hayy Jameel is launching its monthly music series, so check out a performance by Sliman Dawood, an alternative electronic-indie Saudi artist and producer known by his stage name EON, on Thursday September 28 at Hayy Jameel. EON will play a set of songs that explore his early influences in synthpop and darkwave, melodised through 808 drum beats, which exemplify his current identity and musical style. EON’s evocative and experimental sound is owed to his natural ability to defy genres through eclectic instrumentation and layering of sounds with vocals. This event is a collaboration between Hayy Jameel and Wall of Sound.

September 28 & 29: Get ready to Groove

Groove on the Grass is back, and it’s taking place in the capital. Headliners have also been announced and include the likes of Miss Monique, Sama’ Abdulhadi, Eagles & Butterflies and Edu Imbernon. Festivalgoers can expect local hotshots such as Dish Dash, JEME, Dorar will also be performing, alongside Mustafa Ismaeel, RDJ, Narkbeat, and Deain.
