Step inside Obaya Lounge, a new lobby space located within the hotel’s atrium on the ground floor of the most eye-catching tower in Riyadh.
Inspired by the remarkable Arabian horse, Obaya, once owned by the esteemed King Abdulaziz, the elegant lounge exudes warm traditions amid opulent surroundings deeply rooted in local heritage. Leveraging on the Saudi passion for all things equestrian, Obaya Lounge is named for one of the five horses of the ‘Al Khamsa’ believed to have near-mythic status as the founders of the Arabian breed.

Here, you’ll be greeted by ornate interiors that seamlessly blend tradition, modernity, and functionality. Settle comfortably into the contemporary furnishings styled with distinctive fabrics, embossed leather and trims.
Traditional geometric patterns, sculptural trees, elaborate lighting fixtures inspired by the gentle radiance of a crescent moon, and decorative art panels inspired by traditional adobe brick homes in Saudi Arabia create an ambience that transports occupants to a bygone era, all while modern amenities ensure comfort and convenience.
Obaya Lounge’s international offerings complete the experience, with an all-female front-of-the-house team. The debut menu offers a selection of sourdough tartines and sandwiches, such as buffalo burrata with heirloom tomatoes and grilled prime beef cheeseburger with a tasty side of French fries, as well as substantial mains from crispy confit duck leg with green beans and potatoes to chickpea, cauliflower and eggplant spiced curry with saffron pilaf basmati rice.
And for dessert? Sweet treats by the hotel’s pastry team include Japanese quark cheesecake, baked apple galette, and daily churned ice cream with flavours from Thai mango to dark bitter chocolate.
