The Jeddah Caledonian Society presents its flagship event of the year – the Red Hot Chilli Pipers live at the Jeddah British Consulate on Friday October 27 at 7.30pm.
The Red Hot Chilli Pipers (not to be confused with the Red Hot Chili Peppers) lovingly refer to their ground-breaking fusion of traditional Scottish music and rock/pop anthems as ‘bagrock’.

An ensemble consisting of pipers, guitarists, keyboards, and drummers, the Red Hot Chilli Pipers – twice awarded “Best Live Act in Scotland” – bill themselves as the most famous bagpipe band on the planet. They play bagpipes with attitude and drums with a Scottish accent, putting on a show that leaves people with warm hearts and smiles on their faces.
Over their twenty-year career as a band, the Chillis have collected a delightful group of musicians, dancers and singers from Scotland and further afield, many of whom hold World Championship titles and other qualifications. Their big break came in 2007 when they won the BBC talent show “When Will I Be Famous?”
Adding a unique touch to hits like Queen’s “We Will Rock You”, Coldplay’s “Clocks”, and Deep Purple’s “Smoke on the Water”, their infectious style of feel-good music appeals right across the age range to people all over the world.
