Diriyah Season is coming back next month

The theme has also been announced…

With Riyadh Season in full swing, it was only a matter of time before the more heritage-focused Diriyah Season was announced too.

Gearing up for a massive return this December, Diriyah Season 2023 is set to encompass everything related to culture.

Held under the theme ‘Entertain Your Cultural Curiosity,’ you can look forward to live performances,  culinary experiences, and outdoor activities.

During the month of December, we’re looking forward to an exhibition of works by one of the leading architects of the twentieth century, the Hassan Fathy Exhibition, a 60@Sixty exhibition showcasing a rare glimpse of 60 objects from the collection of Saudi artefacts, and Bujairi Terrace’s Bujairi ‘Always On,’ where you can catch everything from a live performance to themed storytelling, art and craft workshops, and immersive art installations.

You can even experience daily life in At-Turaif during the First Saudi State through a series of immersive theatrical performances at ‘Nuzul Street.’ Go shopping in the souk, check out an old-time school, and pay a visit to the doctor’s surgery in 18th-century style.

We’re also going to welcome the speedy return of the Diriyah E-Prix in January 2024, and rediscover the historic site of At-Turaif through performances, cultural activations, workshops and storytelling at the At-Turaif ‘Always On.’

Lastly, you can also look forward to viewing the Diriyah Doors exhibition. The event invites you to study and reflect on the ideas and the legacy of Diriyah and the Najd region’s brightly coloured, patterned, and engraved doors.

Tickets for the major festival haven’t been released yet, but stay tuned to What’s On Saudi Arabia for the latest.
