Globally loved Candlelight Concerts are coming to Riyadh

The globally-loved Candlelight Concerts are finally landing in Saudi Arabia. Putting some of the musical world’s finest works in a whole new light, these renowned shows see musical performances take place against the backdrop of hundreds of flickering candles.
The first ever shows in Saudi Arabia will take place in Riyadh on Friday December 15, with both classical and pop music fans catered to with a duo of shows. Taking place at Cultural Palace in Riyadh, the first show at 6.30pm will see a captivating tribute to the iconic hits of Coldplay performed by candlelight. Brought to life by talented pianist Aldo Dotto, expect to hear breathtaking renditions of hits like Clocks, Speed of Sound and Paradise. Then at 8.30pm, it’s the turn of Chopin’s Best Works to take centre stage, with Dotto performing Nocturne in C sharp minor op. Posthumous, Polonaise op. 44 and more under the beautiful golden glow.
Tickets for both shows are available now via Fever’s official site, priced from SAR200 to SAR350, depending on how close you want to be to the stage.
Riyadh joins a growing list of over 150 cities now entertained by these incredible Candlelight Concerts, which are already found in cities including Dubai, London, Singapore and New York.
The performances are vast and varied in their musical genres, and are performed in iconic venues all over the world. So, we can’t wait to see the series brought to life in Riyadh’s Cultural Palace.
Although the performance began as a classical concert series, around the world themes now include Queen, Abba and Ed Sheeran, as well as tributes to movie soundtracks, jazz concerts, and theatrical experiences that also include ballet dancers and aerial performers.
So expect to see plenty more Candlelight events in the capital over the coming months.
