Riyadh Laughs brings an incredible lineup, including Nemr, Paul Chowdry and more

If you’re looking for laugh-out-loud entertainment, Riyadh Laughs, the exciting stand-up comedy extravaganza, has returned to Boulevard Riyadh City.

Organised by the Royal Commission for Riyadh City, Riyadh Laughs’ upcoming season will be held every weekend from Thursday November 23 to Saturday December 2 at Muvi Cinemas.

The shows will feature a diverse range of local, regional, and international comedic talents, including Maz Jobrani, NEMR, Paul Chowdhry, Alaa El Shaikh, Ibrahim Al Hajjaj, and Shakir Sharif. These comedians plan to bring a great blend of humour and charm, as well as their own unique comedic style.

Meet the headliners for the upcoming shows of Riyadh Laughs.

November 23: Maz Jobrani

Maz Jobrani

Fancy a laugh? American-Iranian comic Maz Jobrani is landing in the city, promising to leave hilarity in his wake. The quick-witted funnyman is renowned for his sharp, speculative comedy and audience interaction, so if you’re a bit shy, we suggest you grab a seat at the back. Known for his specials on Netflix and Showtime, fans will also recognise the performer from his appearances on The Late Show and his role in The Axis of Evil Comedy Central tour featuring Middle Eastern comedians. Introducing Maz to the stage will be Saudi comedian and viral sensation Meesh.​

November 24: Ibrahim Al Hajjaj & Friends

A rising star in the comedy scene, Ibrahim Al Hajjaj is known for his unique perspective and observational humour. He has gained popularity for his witty and relatable comedy sketches on social media platforms, where he addresses everyday situations in an amusing manner. Prepare for bursts of laughter and funny stories from Ibrahim and friends that will leave you in stitches.

The show will be in Arabic.

November 25: Shakir Sharif & Friends

Shakir Sharif

Shakir Sharif is celebrated for his energetic stage presence and quick wit. He is renowned for his storytelling abilities, weaving everyday experiences into hilarious anecdotes. You’ll enjoy Shakir and friends’ dynamic delivery and relatable humour when they take the stage.

The show will be in Arabic.

November 30: NEMR

NEMR

Riyadh Laughs takes you to new levels of fun with NEMR. The Lebanese-American comedian, known for his thought-provoking and socially relevant comedy, has performed in numerous countries and has several specials to his name, including “NEMR: No Bombing in Beirut” and “NEMR: Love Isn’t the Answer.” NEMR’s comedy often explores cultural differences, personal experiences, and global issues, delivering powerful messages with humour.

December 1: Paul Chowdry

Paul Chowdry

Paul Chowdhry is a British comedian and actor known for his edgy and boundary-pushing humour. He has appeared on various television shows, including Live at the Apollo and Taskmaster. Paul’s comedy often tackles themes such as race, relationships, and modern life, and he is praised for his fearless approach to controversial topics. Opening the show for Paul will be US comedian Maher Matta. Discover a new level of comedy and spend the evening in a cosy atmosphere of laughter and fun.

December 2: Alaa El Sheikh, Mohamed Moula and Reem Nabil

from Cairo to Riyadh

Closing off the stand-up comedy extravaganza will be Alaa El Sheikh, Mohamed Moula and Reem Nabil, performing for the first time in Riyadh. Direct from Cairo, the rising comedy stars are known for their infectious energy and charismatic stage presence. They have a talent for connecting with the audience through relatable humour, light-hearted observations, and witty storytelling.

The show will be in Arabic.
