Explore South Korean culture

If you’ve been looking for a brand-new activity to do this week, you need to check out a first-of-its-kind show that combines the Saudi and Korean cultures, hosted by The Royal Institute for Traditional Art (TRITA) and South Korea’s School of Performing Arts at the Korea National University of the Arts.  Happening at the Princess Noura University Theater (Red Hall), you can expect a show that will be performed by 50 performers that reflect the cultural diversity of the Kingdom, which includes: Al-Samari, Al-Daha, Al-Liwa, Al-Khatwa, and Al-Khabiti.

As part of Riyadh Season 2023, the iconic Disney: The Castle at Boulevard Riyadh City is a live musical experience that brings you closer than ever to the iconic music of Disney’s beloved animated worlds. At this magical family festival, celebrate music from Disney’s most popular animated films through captivating performances in immersive musical worlds and exhilarating mini-concerts in front of the towering Disney Castle. Entry to Boulevard Riyadh City is free but tickets are required for the Disney: The Castle experience.

Taking to the streets starting Wednesday November 15 until Wednesday December 6, the Riyadh event will be gathering artists and creators from all over the world to create and explore street art. The art-centric event aims to highlight a range of contemporary art practices in the Kingdom, empower the local and international artistic community, and provide street artists with a platform to showcase their artwork.

Discover a wealth of timeless tales at the Riyadh poetry exhibit

The new exhibition is one of the activities being held under the Year of Arabic Poetry 2023 initiative launched by the Ministry of Culture. The exhibition showcased Arabic calligraphy paintings created by Saudi and Arab artists, which included famous lines from Arabic poems drawn from different periods.

The Riyadh poetry exhibit showcases the evolution of Arabic poetry across five stages: the pre-Islamic era, the Islamic era, the Umayyad era, the Abbasid era, the era of states and emirates, and the modern era of Arabic poetry.
