Calling all talented falconers and falcon lovers. The first-ever Falcon Cup to be held in AlUla is set to take place from Thursday December 28 to Friday January 5 at the Mughaira Heritage Sports Village.

AlUla Falcon Cup

Recorded by historians as one of the oldest human activities, falconry and falcon racing hold a deep cultural significance in the Arabian Peninsula, and this event marks the first in a series to reintroduce these historical traditions to the region.

Expect to see some of the finest displays of falconry set among AlUla’s spectacular scenery. Over 2,000 top falconers will compete to demonstrate their birds’ prowess, speed and beauty over this thrilling nine-day extravaganza with the hope of winning a share of SAR60 million (USD16 million) – a record in the world of falconry.
