FIFA Club World Cup opening ceremony: these stars are headlining
The ceremony is happening this week…
When Jeddah won the bid to host this edition’s FIFA Club World Cup, it was a historic announcement, as it was the first time the country would host the major tournament. Since then, match schedules and fixtures have been announced, and now so have the FIFA Club World Cup opening ceremony performing acts.
Happening on Tuesday December 12, the ceremony will be happening at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium and will see performances by the massive DJ trio Swedish House Mafia and Busta Rhymes.

Fans can expect the multi-Grammy nominated trio, Steve Angello, Sebastian Ingrosso, and Axwell, to perform a selection of their greatest hits, including Don’t You Worry Child, Save The World, Moth To A Flame, and tracks from Paradise Again, the group’s first full-length album following several singles and tours since 2008.
With American rapper, songwriter, record producer, and actor Trevor George Smith Jr, better known as the rap world’s star Busta Rhymes, fans can look forward to tracks like I Know What You Want, I’ll Hurt You, and Touch It.

The tournament will be hosted in Jeddah this December. Confirmed participants include Al Ittihad, Auckland City, Leòn, Al Ahly, Urwa Red Diamonds, and Manchester City.
The tournament’s opening round will see New Zealand’s Auckland City facing off against Al-Ittihad on December 12 at the King Abdullah Sports City stadium in Jeddah.
