These Saudi restaurants are ranked among MENA’s best

Marble is named the MENA’s Best Restaurant for a third year while two other eateries make the list…

Saudi restaurant chain Marble, specialising in high-quality meat and smoked dishes, has been recognised as the best restaurant for three consecutive years at the 2024 Middle East & North Africa’s (MENA) 50 Best Restaurants.

Marble

A meat lovers haven in the Saudi capital, the restaurant located at Turki Square has claimed the number 22 spot. Climbing just one place from last year’s ranking, Marble offers a flavourful ensemble of premium meats, including a juicy, smoky, well-seasoned burger.

The brisket, ribs, and ribeye are mainstays, too, smoked in-house for at least eight hours. This results in a flavourful, succulent ensemble that has placed Marble at the top of every carnivore’s list. And thanks to its high-quality offering, the farm-to-table grill has kept diners coming back, whether for its specials or pop-up dining experiences.

Lunch Room

Debuting on the 2024 list as number 40, Lunch Room – self-described as ‘the first brunch room destination’ – opened its doors in Riyadh in November 2022 to much fanfare. The kitchen takes inspiration from a bevvy of global cuisines, with the two most noticeable influences being Indian street food culture and traditional Arabic favourites. The all-day brunch concept in Pure Centre has since attracted a crowd of loyal diners with its moreish clay oven-baked 48-hour sourdough flatbread and its simple bread course with gaymar cream and honeycomb.

Kuuru

Ranking 50th on the list is another new entry: Kuuru, a Nikkei concept located in Jeddah’s Al Khalidiyyah district. The popular restaurant is part of the well-established Leylati Group and combines Peruvian and Japanese flavours as well as cooking techniques. The menu features gastronomic craftsmanship in dishes like wagyu tataki, rococo scallops (a scallop gratin dish with red chilli), and the Kuuru ceviche, plus standouts including the signature Kuuru wagyu beef sliders and the black cod criollo.
