Thursday February 29

Shop at Hayy Jameel

Held by Homegrown Market, a popular concept in Jeddah, is hosting a Ramadan Bazaar until tomorrow (Friday March 1). Explore top abaya and thobe options, decorations, and Ramadan baskets too.

Go dancing at the 80’s Night

Bored? Put your dancing shoes on and head out to 80’s Night at Siddharta Lounge. Bust a move to iconic tunes, sample delicious Asian-meets-Mediterranean food, and get your pictures taken by the crazy decorations.

Visit the Obhur Waterfront

If you’re looking for a new, perfect family-friendly destination, look no further. The brand-new Obhur Waterfront in Jeddah is where you want to go. Covering an area of 205,000 square meters, the gorgeous newly redeveloped area opened to the public last week. Incredible things you can look forward to in the area include a sea promenade, sandy beaches, plenty of open green areas, stunning pedestrian pathways, cycling tracks, and multi-purpose plazas.

Tuck into Gelato from Jeddah’s favourite

If you have been to Jeddah but didn’t stop at Como Gelato, you didn’t really visit Jeddah. The gelateria is located on Prince Sultan Road and has been in the city for over 15 years. Flavours change regularly but one that is always available and that we highly recommend is their signature, Como.

Saturday March 2

Run at the half marathon in AlBalad

Does it get more beautiful than running around Al Balad in the heart of Jeddah, surrounded by iconic landmarks and bustling markets? Mark your calendar for the Jeddah Historic Half Marathon, which will be held on Saturday March 2. Experience the Unesco World Heritage Site with hundreds of other runners. The race will fittingly start at the historical gate of Bab Jadid at 6am.

Head out to Mangrove Beach

Life is certainly a beach when you visit Mangrove Beach. The luxury beach club is oh-so-elegant and includes a spa, bowling alley, football ground, children’s play area and water activities. If you’re looking for a single-sex space, there are also ladies-only pools and gyms. The accommodation options include villas, bungalows and apartments. Best of all: it’s all spread out across a sprawling space, so everything from the accommodation to sun beds are spaced out enough to give you a sense of privacy. Visitors must apply for membership.
