In pics: Cristiano Ronaldo and Geogina Rodriguez enjoy a dreamy Red Sea getaway
The Ronaldo family getaway has been serious #holidaygoals …
Football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo and his model partner Georgina Rodriguez have regularly updated fans on their life in Saudi Arabia since they moved to the Kingdom in 2022. And for their latest adventure, they’ve journeyed to one of Saudi’s most exciting new tourism destination, The Red Sea – for a dreamy family holiday.
In a series of snapped shared to Instagram, both Ronaldo and Rodrigues have regularly updated fans on their gorgeous getaway to The St Regis Red Sea Resort, which opened earlier this year. At the Red Sea’s first island resort, the pair have checked-in to one of the beautiful overwater villas, where they’ve been enjoying some relaxing down-time with their children.

In the series of snaps shared to Instagram, we’ve seen the family soaking up the gorgeous sorbet-hued sunsets, cycling around the sugary sands of the resort, and enjoying some indulgent pampering at the spa. And it seems like they’ve been enjoying it: the football legend said that staying there was “close to heaven”, while Georgina called it “the new paradise” in the collection of photos shared on social media.
If you’re keen to live like Ronaldo yourself with a getaway to St Regis, the Red Sea is currently serviced by five weekly flights (with options from both Riyadh and Jeddah). Room rates for the picturesque island resort start from SAR7,000 per night.
But it’s not been all play and no work.
During the family holiday, Ronaldo took time out to meet Group CEO of Red Sea Global, John Pagano, to learn more about the destination, its eco-efforts, and what’s still to come across the island archipelago.
About The Red Sea
While the 90-key, all-villa St Regis Resort is currently the only island escape at this new tourism gem – it won’t be the last. Soon, the St Regis will be joined on Ummahat Island by another Marriott property, an ultra-luxury Ritz-Carlton Reserve called Nujuma.
These duo of resorts join the already opened debut property at The Red Sea, Six Senses Southern Dunes. Located at one of two inland sites, the Six Senses property comes complete with 36 guest rooms and suites and a further 40 pool villas.
By 2025, a further 13 properties will also be welcoming guests to The Red Sea, including resorts from brands including Jumeirah, Four Seasons and Edition.
