London’s iconic Scott’s restaurant landed in Riyadh in the summer of 2023, bringing with it a world-class seafood menu, with bags of traditional British charm. In the main restaurant, guests dine at crisp white tableclothed tables, or can perch up at the oyster bar, where a dazzling ice display takes centre stage. But for a more exclusive dining experience, book the Scott’s private dining room, called the Red Sea room, with seating for up to 16, which is decorated in grand marble, lit with a decadent chandelier, and encased by aquarium-style painted glass.

This perennially popular Chinese restaurant and tea house, Yauatcha Riyadh welcomes diners to enjoy drinks at the juice bar, grab-and-go at the patisserie, and some of the city’s finest dim sum in the main dining room. But if you’re planning a power lunch or special event, consider one of the three private dining spaces, ideal for group dining and events, which come with flexible seating and TVs, perfect for your next presentation.

Another London-born success story now entertaining diners in Via Riyadh is the Michelin Starred Indian eatery, Gymkhana. We love their dimly lit, wood-panelled private dining room, where guests gather round a marble-topped table lined with leather chairs in royal teal, on dishes like awadhi chicken korma, chettinad lobster masala and Tandoori chicken.

Enjoy the award-winning modern Greek flavours of Meraki in a more intimate setting when you book one of the ‘cave’ private dining rooms at this impressive Olaya restaurant. Fitting up to a dozen guests for drinks or a table for eight for dinner, they benefit from the same warm and inviting aesthetic as the main dining room, but come with the option to curate your own menu, music and lighting.

The well lit, neutrally adorned private dining room at Spago by Wolfgang Puck is one of the best in Riyadh for taking that business meeting out of the boardroom and into a restaurant setting. Seating for up to a dozen comes in a fully privatised area separated from the main dining room, meaning you can get your business – or celebrating – done in exclusive comfort. On the menu, expect celebrated chef Wolfgang Puck’s signature Californian cuisine.

Upscale Ramla Terraza restaurant Clap is known and loved in the region for its modern Japanese cuisine. Its rooftop restaurant in Riyadh is home to an expansive dining room, where you can dine at tables for two, at the counter, or in one of the booths for big groups. For a more private dining experience in Riyadh, book a business meeting, celebration or private event in their private dining room – where a large wooden table under a canopy of dramatic red – can host up to 12.
