Eid Al Fitr 2024: First day of Eid announced in Saudi Arabia

Just in…

The crescent moon was not sighted in Saudi Arabia on Monday April 8, Khaleej Times reports. Therefore the last day of Ramadan will be Tuesday April 9, and the first day of Eid Al Fitr 2024 will be Wednesday April 10.

As the crescent moon was not sighted, this means Ramadan 2024 will be 30 days.

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development already announced the public holiday for Eid Al Fitr 2024. Both the public and private sector will enjoy a four-day break from Monday April 8. The public holiday will conclude on Thursday April 11, but for most people who enjoy a Friday-Saturday weekend in the Kingdom, that will mean a full six days off.

Work will then resume as normal on Sunday April 14.
