All you need to know about the first MENA edition of the Professional Fighters League

MMA fans, get ready to witness yet another electrifying showdown of the summer. Catch the region’s best go head-to-head in the cage as they compete in the inaugural Professional Fighters League (PFL) MENA season.
Taking place on Friday May 10 at The Green Halls in Riyadh, ‘PFL MENA: Riyadh’ will feature fighters from the Featherweight and Bantamweight divisions, competing in the renowned PFL Playoff win-and-advance format.
The historic season opener will be the first instalment of the four-event sport-season format featuring the region’s top fighters, with subsequent fixtures set to unfold across the Middle East. Running until late November, the season culminates in four fighters earning $100,000 and the prestigious PFL MENA Championship belt.
Headlining the card is Saudi Arabia’s Abdullah “The Reaper” Al-Qahtani, who will face off against Morocco’s Taha Bendaoud in the Featherweight main event.
Al Qahtani last fought in February at PFL’s first-ever international MMA event in Riyadh, ‘PFL Champions vs Bellator Champions’, which featured world champions and some of the biggest names in combat sports.

The inaugural PFL MENA season will also host showcase fights to develop local and regional talents, such as Hattan Alsaif, the first female fighter from Saudi Arabia to sign a contract with a major global MMA promotion. She will be making her amateur PFL debut in showcase bouts on the PFL MENA cards.
Tickets for the ‘PFL MENA: Riyadh’ event are still available on WeBook. Prices start at SAR92 for the Platinum seats, SAR172.50 for the Royal, SAR230 for Floor VIP, and SAR345 for Floor VVIP.
All four PFL Mena Season events will also be live on MBC Action and on Shahid, the leading streaming platform in the Mena region.
