Tuck into a scent-sational Jo Malone afternoon tea at Fairmont Riyadh

If you take afternoon tea once this month, make sure it’s at The Savoy Lounge at the Fairmont Hotel Riyadh. Sampling this limited-edition spread, created in collaboration with our favourite fragrance brand, Jo Malone, really should be on your must-do list.
From Wednesday May 1 to Wednesday July 31, the multi-sensory afternoon tea will be hosted within the elegant confines of The Savoy Lounge. The delicacies, infused with the luxurious scents for which Jo Malone London is famed and presented on a three-tiered stand, are made with such finesse.
Start your culinary journey with a salmon Éclair with crisp cucumber and creamy avocado, brightened with a touch of lemon zest. Following that, you can savour a grilled halloumi cheese paired with tender zucchini and tangy pickled walnut, served alongside a freshly baked baguette and pesto dip – all of which prove delicious on our visit.
Interjected between the crunch of show-stealers like the molten Gruyere cheese fondue infused with the earthy essence of black truffle tapenade and the beef bresaola focaccia with tender asparagus spears, are the indulgent flavours from the sweets.
A traditional Éclair with Saudi coffee is enjoyed first, followed by a dark chocolate mousse. The raspberry macaron is inhaled – just be sure to have it with the crystallised rose petal; it stays with you long after you take your last bite. To finish, a round of English Breakfast tea to wash it all down before a finale of the quintessentially warm scones.
After enjoying the indulgent tea, each guest will receive a selection of Jo Malone London’s most-loved scents in a gift set. The set showcases an assortment of sample-size fragrances, beautifully packaged in the brand’s iconic style.
