Get excited: Zuma is opening in Riyadh this year
Zuma Riyadh is one of a string of new openings coming to KAFD…
Riyadh’s dining scene has had some excellent servings of internationally-renowned talent in recent years. Names like Scott’s, Mr Chow, LPM and Signor Sassi are just a handful of the major global players that have landed in the Saudi capital. But in 2024, one of the biggest names in the business – smash-hit Japanese restaurant Zuma – is finally set to open in Riyadh.
Zuma Riyadh has been on the cards since 2021, after popping-up at Riyadh Oasis. But finally, the beloved fine-dining eatery is getting a permanent location, and will bring its modern Japanese flavours to KAFD later this year. Although we don’t have a concrete opening date, we can’t wait to find out more.
When it opens in Riyadh, diners can expect to enjoy expertly plated signatures such as the marinated black cod, sliced yellowtail and robata skewers. We can expect modern, minimalistic interiors befitting of an izakaya style menu.

When Zuma Riyadh opens in KAFD, it’ll be in good company on the foodie front. This futuristic financial district is already home to the aforementioned Mr Chow, famed for its Beijing duck and handmade noodle show; London-born Italian, Il Baretto, known and loved in equal measure for its live music nights and delectable Italian fare; and Chalmont, a dreamy fine-dining restaurant that serves up timeless French classics and recipes. As well as Zuma, KAFD is set to see openings from Amazonico, Sushisamba, and Benoit.
Zuma Riyadh joins an ever-expanding list of Zuma restaurants around the world. From a singular location in London back in 2002, Zuma has expanded to 25 locations around the world, where you’ll find the brand’s Japanese cuisine, high-octane bar scene, and slick, sophisticated ambience. In the region, that includes outposts in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Doha, with a first-of-its-kind Zuma Beachhouse also coming to Dubai next year.
