From Paris to Riyadh: Perruche is opening at an enviable spot in Solitaire
Parisian elegance meets Mediterranean charm at this upcoming new restaurant…
One of Paris’ most popular culinary hotspots, Perruche, will be spreading its wings in Riyadh, and we can’t wait. This marks the restaurant’s first international expansion.
For context, Perruche is one of Paris Society’s renowned brands. Founded in 2008 by French entrepreneur Laurent de Gourcuff, Paris Society has become a leading name in the events, hospitality, and entertainment domains in France. Now, through its partnership with Saudi-based F&B heavyweight MJS Holding, foodies in Riyadh can look forward to dining at some of France’s finest exports.
While the Paris venue is a sought-after rooftop restaurant perched high up on the roof of department store Printemps Haussmann, the Riyadh location will be located in the city’s newest lifestyle destination, the three-storey Solitaire.
No opening date has been announced for both Perruche and Solitaire. And while we’re not yet sure what the space for Perruche Riyadh will look like, we’re expecting similar sunny beach vibes to its original location.
Expect its signature yellow and white hues with plush sofas to sprawl on and light-coloured wood furniture upholstered with colourful fabric, amid a lush green garden setting. Seamlessly blending the elegance of the Parisian joie de vivre with the laidback lifestyle of the Mediterranean, Perruche feels like an escape to the South of France. Stylish indoor space aside, we’re also hoping there will be a terrace for outdoor dining.
On the menu? Perruche prides itself on its sunny flavours and colourful dishes, featuring a fusion of Mediterranean and Provençal cuisine, best shared among friends.
You’ll enjoy fresh starters, including the iconic Niçoise salad, sea bass tartare, and hearty mains such as grilled prawns, and tagliatelle with summer truffle, as well as the decadent Tarte Tropézienne to end your meal on a sweet note. These are just a few of the menu options inspired by the Côte d’Azur.
