Headphones, remastered: Introducing the Dyson OnTrac headphones
We’d forgive you for not remembering that Dyson had already launched a pair of noise-cancelling headphones a couple of years back. After all, the company’s best known for its premium cordless vacuum cleaners, fans, hair dryers and air purifiers — and the Dyson Zone headphones were positioned as a more niche product with a detachable air purifying mask on the front. This time around, Dyson’s thankfully gone for something much more straightforward with its brand-new OnTrac headphones. They’re large, noise-cancelling over-ear headphones with customisable designs, high-end noise elimination and noise monitoring, and an incredibly long battery life.
A full charge takes around three hours and provides up to 55 hours of listening time with the active noise-cancelling (ANC) turned on. External noise is tracked and reported in real-time through the MyDyson smartphone app. Even without using ANC, the listening experience is immersive, delivering audio with absolute precision. There are also tap-activation controls on the earcups, automated stop/start wear detection, and a physical on/off button.

We love that the new headphones have replaceable soft foam ear cushions and ear cups. This allows you to switch up the style completely and gives the OnTrac a comfortable fit and enhanced acoustic seal. It also comes in four different colourways: CNC Aluminum has a grey finish with bright yellow ear cushions; CNC Copper features a purple headband and matching ear cushions with shiny copper ear cups; Ceramic Cinnabar has a coral headband, matte ear cups in the same colour, and dark ear cushions.
