Most of us have probably been to a circus at some point or another. But a travelling water circus?
Following a hugely successful run in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, Fontana – the Middle East’s first travelling water circus – will be hoisting its big top in Riyadh next month.

Taking place from Wednesday September 18 to Saturday September 28, the shows will be held under the Fontana circus tent pitched up at the open space next to Cenomi Al Nakheel Mall.

Tickets can be purchased here with prices starting from SAR95 for the green category, SAR135 for the blue category, and SAR175 for red. Those who would like to be nearer to the stage are recommended to get the silver category for SAR225 or the gold for SAR325.
What to expect at Fontana?
Brought to the capital by the Lebanese group Cirque Du Liban, the aquatic show combines a thrilling mix of mind-bending illusions and astounding acrobatics. Expect to see awe-inspiring dancers, gravity-defying aerialists, and incredible circus thrills that will enthral the entire family.
If the pictures and videos from What’s On Dubai are anything to go by, this is going to be jaw-dropping.
Fontana seems to have it all – live entertainment, including trapeze artists, aerial hoop acts, motorcycle stunts, drummers, operatic singing and more, paired with captivating special effects and mesmerising water theatrics that accompany most of the acts.
But the centrepiece of the performance is the musical dancing fountain, as water jets and colourful lights dance together in sync with the music.
The amazing acts will leave you on the edge of your seat or hiding behind your hands. And the best part? The performance is family-friendly, so feel free to take the little ones with you.
