The return of Riyadh Season always brings about major excitement to the city, and more so when there are so many exciting new experiences coming our way. From brand-new Riyadh Season 2024 zones to revamped old favourites, this year’s edition of the massive citywide festival is set to be one for the ages.
Boulevard World
Fan-favourite Riyadh Season zone Boulevard World is returning this year with a promise of family fun, fantastic zones, and more. Here’s everything we know about Boulevard World 2024. Set to open its doors on Sunday October 13, the zone is located adjacent to Boulevard Riyadh City. Each sub-zone is dedicated to a different country from across the globe, celebrating the best of that destination’s shopping, culinary and cultural experiences.
Suwaidi Park
Riyadh Season’s most vibrant celebration of cultural diversity at Al-Suwaidi Park is back. Suwaidi Park transforms its green space into a cultural hub, with each week showcasing the traditions and customs of different countries including Bangladesh, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Jordan, Pakistan, Philippines, Sudan, and The Levant. The zone will be opening its doors on Sunday October 13.
Boulevard Riyadh City
Ask anyone about Riyadh Season and one of the first things they would mention would be Boulevard Riyadh City. And in 2024, Boulevard Riyadh City will be welcoming the BLVD business park, which will include new hotels, offices, and more. The zone will also be opening on Sunday October 13. The zone will see a 70 per cent with more than 40 new experiences and events 25 restaurants and cafes, 12 plays, and 12 concerts. There will be a Martin Lawrence comedy night, a Detective Conan experience, a Bluey experience and more.
Dunes of Arabia
Dunes of Arabia will be established in the suburbs of Riyadh. The zone will feature horse riding, off-roading, and camping experiences. The zone will be opening on Wednesday October 16.
Wonder Garden
Wonder Garden is made up of three different zones where you can go on fun rides, and walk through areas full of beautiful butterflies and trees. The new version will be able to accommodate 23,000 people, filled with 60 theatrical and roaming shows, 65 games and experiences, and over 40 restaurants. The zone will open on Thursday November 7.
The Groves
Another favourite Riyadh Season zone, The Groves is returning as a permanent zone in the Al-Rafiah neighbourhood, featuring a theatre overlooking a lake with new lounges and experiences. You can look forward to enjoying this experience on Monday November 11.
Warner Bros./ Harry Potter
GEA Chairman Turki Al-Sheikh announced that this year, there will be a Harry Potter experience at Riyadh Season lighting up the capital (and we don’t even remember saying Lumos). Set to take shape as a theme park in Boulevard Riyadh City, the attraction will be the first of its kind in Riyadh. The theme park will be opening its doors on Thursday November 28.
Boulevard Runway
An all-new Boulevard Runway Riyadh Season zone has just been announced, and the new zone is a collaboration between Riyadh Season and the current national carrier, Saudia Airlines, and is set to provide entertaining experiences for everyone. The zone will be opening on Sunday December 15.
Via Riyadh
Via Riyadh is a luxurious address where you can check in to a five-star hotel, shop your way around 20 stylish, visit a first-of-its-kind cinema and dine at some of the world’s finest restaurants and cafes including a new Prangak restaurant and By Sofa coffee. This year’s Ana Arabia will also be hosted at Via Riyadh. Bonus: the mostly outdoor destination will be fully air-conditioned by summer 2025 too. The zone will reopen on Thursday November 28.
Riyadh Zoo
Previously divided into six zones, Riyadh Zoo is set to return this time around too. Admire all kinds of animals including flamingos, gazelles, llamas and more. The zone will open on Sunday October 20.
Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams
After touring global cities like London and New York, the fashion exhibition Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams will arrive in the Saudi capital as part of Riyadh Season. Taking place at the National Museum of Saudi Arabia in Al Murabaa from November 22, it will feature 500 vintage Dior dresses across 14 sections, according to SceneStyled.
Souq AlAwaleen
This is the perfect zone to go to and experience the unique charm of an old Najdi market by exploring a replication of an all-Saudi souq. The free zone will open on Sunday December 15.
