The enchanting “Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams” exhibition is coming to Riyadh
It is set to run from November 21 to April 2 at the National Museum of Saudi Arabia as part of the Riyadh Season 2024/25 festivities…
It was the exhibition that drew millions of visitors between Paris’s Musée des Arts Decoratifs and then London’s Victoria & Albert Museum.
And now it’s confirmed – “Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams” is coming to Riyadh, and it’s all we can talk about.

In an exclusive press conference in Paris, it’s revealed that the National Museum of Saudi Arabia in the historic Al Murabba district is set to stage the exhibition, which will open on Thursday November 21 and run until Wednesday April 2, 2025.
Here’s what we’re expecting at what will surely be one of 2024’s most exciting exhibitions.
Curated by Florence Müller and designed by scenographer Nathalie Crinière, the immersive retrospective offers visitors a glimpse into the fashion house’s legendary past and present.
It charts the brand’s history from 1947 to the present day, celebrating the life and works of Maison Christian Dior and his subsequent successors who have helmed the house.
If you were lucky enough to see the exhibitions overseas (the one in London was divine), we hope the Riyadh display will be a reimagining of all that.
For the first time in Saudi Arabia, fashion lovers will soon be able to view over 500 objects, including accessories and fragrances, and legendary editorials and illustrations showcasing Dior’s designs.
Through art, passion, and haute couture, the exhibition highlights over 70 years of House of Dior’s legacy, beginning with 30 Avenue Montaigne, the site where Christian Dior opened his couture house, which still stands today.
The retrospective draws on Christian Dior’s iconic creations, spanning from his early designs to those crafted by his successors, with each piece illustrating the House’s artistic innovation.
The House’s multiple sources of inspiration – from Versailles and the Age of Enlightenment to the splendour of gardens and flowers – will also be on display at the National Museum of Saudi Arabia’s iteration of the exhibit.
Another highlight will be a dedicated souvenir shop for those wanting to take a piece of Dior home. But perhaps the most impressive section within the exhibition space will be a Dior pop-up café in a charming and chic Provençal-style courtyard garden, which we’re pretty sure will be trés chic.
The opening hours and ticket information for the “Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams” exhibition have not been announced yet, but watch this space for more updates.
We can’t wait…
