Here's everything we know about Pakistan week at Suwaidi Park

Whenever Riyadh Season rolls around, Suwadi Park, a major landmark in Riyadh that opened in 1983, transforms into a cultural haven that celebrates a different culture every week. Starting this weekend, we’ll be celebrating Pakistan Week at Suwaidi Park.

Starting tomorrow, Wednesday October 30 until Saturday November 2, the program will be hosted by Anoushey Ashraf and Suleiman Quraish.

Performing artists include Jaffer Shah, Fabiha Hashmi, Naeem Ghulam, Quaid Ahmed, (Saturday November 2), Imran Ali, and Khurmariyan, but that’s not all though. The concerts will be headlined by Pakistan’s megastars, Ali Zafar (Thursday October 31) Asim Azhar (Friday November 1), along with Karachi-based rap duo Young Stunners (Saturday November 2). Pakistani cricketers Shoaib Malik, Shadab Khan, and Sarfaraz Ahmed (Saturday November 2) will also be making an appearance at the event.

Visitors can also expect grand parades, a range of live performances that reflect the fascinating folklore and rich cultures, concerts from international stars, lots of tasty treats, and lively bazaars where you can shop for handicrafts and knick-knacks. For the little ones, they can look forward to a kid’s play area and a variety of carnival games.

Feeling peckish? The cultural festival at Al-Suwaidi Park is about many things, and food is one of them. So, be sure to browse through the food stalls and taste your way through a world of flavours. For Pakistan Week, we’re expecting to tuck into classics like Biryani, Haleem, and kebabs like no other.
