Who has not been captivated by horse riding? Equestrian sports, in all their splendour, symbolise a majestic alliance between man and animal. This union represents a harmonious blend of power and elegance, creating a spectacle in which rider and horse move in perfect symbiosis.

Imagine a ballet in which each movement, each step, results from coordination and mutual understanding. In this equestrian realm, each discipline showcases dedication and deep passion, merging tradition with modernity.

Drift 2025

Equestrian fans eager to enjoy elite world-class equestrian shows, save the dates for Drift 2025, taking place across three weekends at the Trio Sporting Equestrian & Sports Club in Jeddah.

It’s an invitation to experience the International Showjumping Tour 2025, now in its second edition. Over 500 riders and horses from across the globe will embark on this prestigious tour, displaying power, precision, and athleticism.

Organised by Arwa Mutabagani – the first Saudi woman on the Olympic Committee and mentor to her daughter Dalma, the first Saudi female athlete to win at the Olympics – the event also celebrates the 35th anniversary of Trio Sporting, Saudi Arabia’s first equestrian club, founded by Arwa.

More than just show-jumping, it will include immersive cultural experiences, exclusive VIP galas, and breathtaking displays of entertainment, art, fashion, and photography, offering unforgettable sights, flavours, and atmospheres.

Here’s what you can expect at Drift 2025.

January 16 to 18: Arabian Splendour

Witness the grace of Arabian horses, the majesty of falcons, and the allure of camels in a stunning showcase of tradition and culture. From 2pm to 9pm, jumping classes will be held at the main arena of Trio Sporting, followed by an award presentation ceremony. Don’t miss the hourly fashion show featuring horses on Thursday January 16 between 5pm and 9pm.

January 23 to 25: Arabian Renaissance

To engage visitors in creative activities, visit The Road, where young talents and artists showcase vibrant traditions through painting, photography, and sculpture, along with performances highlighting modern Arabian culture. Jumping classes will continue to be held at Trio Sporting’s main arena from 2pm to 9pm, followed by an award presentation ceremony. On Friday January 24 from 5pm to 9pm, you can also look forward to traditional Saudi performances, such as Samri, a Najdi folkloric dance, and Almezmar, a traditional practice of the Hijazi community that includes drumming and dancing with sticks.

January 30 to February 1: The Grand Finale

Jumping classes will be held at Trio Sporting’s main arena from 2pm to 9pm on Thursday January 30 and Friday January 31, and 2pm to 7.45pm on Saturday February 1. An award presentation ceremony will take place following each class. There will also be a big DJ party on Friday January 31, at 9.30pm – the perfect way to round off a successful day of top-tier equestrian sport.

The Grand Finale on Saturday February 1 will culminate with a Grand Prix Awards Presentation at 8pm, where guests are invited to walk the Croisette on a red carpet radiating prestige designed for VIPs, celebrities, and global icons. Immerse yourself in this extraordinary celebration of heritage and creativity, marking a defining moment in Drift’s legacy.

As part of the Grand Finale, Trio Sporting proudly celebrates 35 years of equestrian excellence, featuring a keynote address from founder Arwa Hamed Mutabagani, unveiling the vision for this iconic destination. The event also honours legendary riders, acknowledging their lasting connection with Trio Sporting and Arwa, followed by a lavish gala dinner and entertainment.

Tickets are still available on the Trio Sporting website. Individual passes start at SAR79 for a daily ticket, SAR149 for a weekly ticket (for all three consecutive days), and SAR249 for all three weekends. The individual pass gives you full access to all the event areas (except the VIP terrace) and non-reserved seating in the arena’s adjacent stands. Plus, guests 13 years old and below get free entry when accompanied by an adult.

Those who would like to elevate their experience with exclusive privileges can purchase the VIP pass, which allows them to indulge in luxury while being at the heart of the action. VIP passes start at SAR2,900 for a daily ticket, SAR3,900 for a weekly ticket (for all three consecutive days), and SAR7,900 for all three weekends.

The VIP pass is valid for up to five guests and includes a dedicated VIP table on the VIP terrace, access to the open buffet restaurant and gala dinner, and valet parking.
