A trip to AlUla offers a lifetime of inspiration – in its wind-sculpted red rock, soothing green palms, and even the startling contrast of bright blue sky against the shimmering golden desert.
Needless to say, the ancient city is brimming with arts, culture and events, celebrating its fascinating heritage. And one festival that you can’t miss is the AlUla Arts Festival 2025, and it comes to a close tomorrow.
Returning for the fourth successive year from Sunday January 16 to Saturday February 22, the multi-arts festival presents a world-class program featuring flagship events, immersive exhibitions, and creative initiatives for a city-wide celebration of all things art.

Taking over AlUla’s AlJadidah Arts District, this year’s edition of the festival includes several specially curated programs and exhibitions. This Saturday will be your last chance to check out the AlKhatt experience also ends tomorrow, where you’re invited to celebrate the art of traditional and contemporary Arabic calligraphy. The experience lasts an hour, and entry is completely free.
You can also check out the AlUla Artist Residency Open Studio, which is a one-of-a-kind open studio experience where art, culture, and history come to life with the artistic vision of five Saudi and international artists until Sunday February 23 from noon to 10pm.

Exhibitions like Maha Malluh’s Reminiscence, Wadi AlFann presents James Turrell, Tarek Atoui’s Bayt Al Hams (The Whispering House), and Raw to Revival will be on until Saturday April 19.
Stop by the innovative Raw to Revival exhibition at Design Space AlUla held in collaboration with Madrasat Addeera. The exhibition showcases how traditional crafts can inspire contemporary design. The space will also host a series of talks and workshops over the closing weekend and in Ramadan.
Tarek Atoui’s groundbreaking Bayt Al Hams (The Whispering House) is an interactive exhibition, featuring a contemporary art installation that explores the interplay of materials and sound. You also have a chance to be a part of Atoui’s work in progress, an interactive sound artwork commissioned by the upcoming contemporary art museum in AlUla.
The closing weekend is a chance for visitors to view exhibitions, catch live music sessions, see film screenings, listen to artist talks, and participate in a wide range of workshops.
