Thinking about doing an obstacle course challenge? Look no further. The Arabian Warrior, the premier Middle Eastern obstacle course race series, is having its first-ever event in AlUla.
The Arabian Warrior AlUla 2025 will take place from Thursday May 8 to Saturday May 10 at the iconic Camel Cup Track Site located in Mughaira Heritage Sports Village.

Here’s all you need to know about the two-day endurance event in AlUla.
Choose your challenge
The 2025 edition will offer a variety of race distances and difficulty levels, catering to both elite athletes and amateur fitness enthusiasts. Participants can choose from categories such as the five-kilometre race (13+ obstacles), ten-kilometre race (21+ obstacles), 20-kilometre race (40+ obstacles), and 50-kilometre race (100+ obstacles).
Want to rope in your friends (and test your friendship)? You can sign up for the team challenges in the five-kilometre and 50-kilometre distances.
The Arabian Warrior encourages the kids to join in, too. There’s a 1.6-kilometre junior kids’ course (8+ obstacles) for children ages five to twelve and a five-kilometre race for school teams. Children must be checked in by a parent or guardian who will observe them as they run, and those under six must be accompanied by an adult throughout the entire course, with one adult required per child.

It’s a whole lot of fun, too
There’s a light-hearted festival component. Think a dedicated race village, with live DJ sets, a cheer squad, prime spectator zones, food and beverage stations, photo booths, merchandise activations, and athlete meet-and-greets, which add to the jovial scene.
Live performances and cultural showcases will entertain both racers and spectators, who can also participate in activities such as interactive fitness challenges and mini obstacle courses.
If you’ve never competed in a high-stakes obstacle course that demands mental toughness and resilience before, this might be a great one to start with to get your feet wet.
