Every year, Saudi Arabia celebrates Saudi National Day on September 23 to celebrate the renaming of the Kingdom of Nejd and Hejaz as the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 1932. This year’s Saudi National Day 2025 holiday has just been announced.
According to Gulf News, Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has declared the Saudi National Day 2025 holiday to be on Tuesday September 23, a public holiday for both government and private sector workers to mark the Kingdom’s 95th National Day.
What is Saudi National Day?
This year, Saudi National Day will be celebrated on Tuesday September 23. The day commemorates the proclamation that renamed the Kingdom of Nejd and Hejaz as the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which dates back to 1932, making this the 95th Saudi National Day.
It was made a public holiday by King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz in 2005 and is one of the three non-religious holidays observed in the country, the others being Saudi Founding Day and Saudi Flag Day.
How is Saudi National Day celebrated?
