More about the tournament

Previously, Saudi Arabia has won the FIFA Arab Cup in 1998 and 2002. For the 2025 edition, the team is being led by Asian Player of the Year Salem Al-Dawsari. The tournament is being played by Qatar (hosts), Algeria (defending champion), Bahrain, Comoros, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Morocco, Oman, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, and the United Arab Emirates. From 1985 to 2012, the tournament was organised by the Union of Arab Football Associations; the 2021 edition was the first organised by FIFA.

The actual tournament final will also be played today (Thursday, December 18) between Morocco and Jordan at Lusail Stadium in Lusail, Qatar, at 7pm. Winners will be announced at a post-match ceremony at Lusail Stadium.
