Looking to embrace the beauty of Mother Nature and escape to the mountains on a wellness retreat? You can soon embrace the outdoors at ENVI Al Shafa, a mountain retreat nestled in the serene hills near Taif.
Scheduled to open in December 2026, ENVI Al Shafa will be one of Saudi Arabia’s first high-altitude wellness lodges, offering a refined yet grounded experience rooted in nature and multi-generational wellbeing.
Perched over 2,000 metres above sea level, it’s a sanctuary in the clouds, where the cool mountain climate provides the perfect backdrop for families to relax, recharge, and reconnect.
ENVI Al Shafa will offer a range of spacious villas, including one-, two-, and three-bedroom options, with sweeping valley views. Each unit is crafted to ensure privacy and comfort while harmonising effortlessly with the surrounding landscape.
Not your typical wellness retreat
Imagine stepping into a cosy lounge inspired by the warmth and charm of luxury Alpine resorts, where mountain views set the tone for total escape.
At the centre of the experience is a restaurant anchored by an open-flame grill overlooking a sweeping valley, bringing rustic Mediterranean, farm-style cooking to life. The lodge will also feature a dedicated cooking studio, inviting guests to discover local and regional recipes, learn about nutrition, and enjoy farm-to-table cuisine through hands-on, shared culinary activities.
Thoughtfully designed to promote multi-generational wellbeing, the wellness centre at ENVI Al Shafa will provide programmes for every family member – from mindfulness sessions for children to longevity therapies for adults and rejuvenation treatments for seniors.
Extending this holistic approach outdoors, the ENVI Garden doubles as a tranquil meditation space and a working chef’s garden, where fresh herbs and plants are harvested for use in the kitchen and incorporated into the different wellness treatments.
An entertainment hub and pottery workshop complete the experience, inviting guests of all ages to relax and share meaningful moments together.
ENVI Al Shafa is also ideal for private wellness retreats, corporate off-sites, and spiritual escapes.
