A world-class cricket festival is just what the Kingdom has been missing (we don’t know about you, but this reporter is a massive cricket fan), and this week we’re getting just that. Get ready for the start of a new innings at the World Cricket Festival in Jeddah.
Happening from Wednesday January 21 to Friday January 23, at King Abdulaziz University, the World Cricket Festival in Jeddah is bringing three action-packed, star-studded days.

What to expect
We look forward to seeing Shoaib Malik, Imran Tahir, Asif Ali, Hardus Viljoen, Isuru Udana, Jeevan Mendis, Khalid Shah, Joseph Burns, Samit Patel, Farhad Raza, Owais Shah, Stuart Binny, Ben Cutting, Irfan Pathan, Nangeyalia Kharote, Shakib Al Hasan, and Maroof Merchant, alongside emerging and established Saudi national players showcasing the growth of the Kingdom in the sport.
Beyond the star cricket players and at the heart of the festival lies the F2 Double Wicket World Cup, which is set to become one of the most exciting cricket events in the region. This four-day tournament blends elite cricketing action with vibrant cultural experiences, offering fans a chance to enjoy sport, entertainment, and heritage all in one place. The innovative, high-intensity cricket format features 10 international teams and 23 action-packed matches. Teams will be divided into two groups, including:
- Group A: Saudi Green, Pakistan, Australia, Sri Lanka, South Africa
- Group B: Saudi White, West Indies, India, Afghanistan, Bangladesh
