Le Chocolat Alain Ducasse is opening its doors in Riyadh very soon
Expect handcrafted Parisian chocolates made from bean to bar
Chocolate lovers, we have extremely exciting news. Iconic French chef Alain Ducasse is bringing his world-famous chocolatier to Riyadh.
Le Chocolat Alain Ducasse, located in Al Olaya, is set to open after Eid Al-Fitr, which means you won’t have to wait too long to get a taste. The spot will be easy to find, too, sitting right across from La Petite Maison.
We managed to get a sneak peek inside before the opening, and it’s already shaping up to be a spot worth bookmarking.
Aside from its famous handcrafted chocolates, the cosy space will also serve cold brew and house both a chocolate retail area and a restaurant serving French cuisine.
Step inside and you’re immediately greeted by the chocolate retail area, where the bean-to-bar creations will be on display. To the right, a door leads you into what feels like a hidden indoor courtyard garden, complete with tables and greenery that give the whole place a relaxed café-like setting.
There’s also a mezzanine level with additional seating overlooking the space below, along with an open kitchen where diners will be able to see the culinary team at work.

In the world of luxury chocolate, Alain Ducasse sets a high bar.
The brand is renowned for its house-made bean-to-bar chocolates, crafted from carefully selected cacao beans sourced from around the world.
When the Riyadh boutique opens, we’re hoping it will stock some of the chocolatier’s most renowned creations, alongside stunning slabs of chocolate displayed beneath elegant glass domes.
Expect the shelves to be lined with a collection of chocolate bars in a fantastic array of flavours and textures, as well as single-origin and flavoured ganaches, delicate pralinés, and beautifully boxed selections that make perfect gifts.
The full diversity of the cocoa bean is explored and celebrated, with each creation reflecting the character of its origins, much like a good cup of coffee.
So be warned, with so much chocolate temptation on display, you may not make it out of the store.
